Yoshi Luver: This being your second book you
have ever written, did it turn out how you imagined?
Belle: It turned
out better and much longer than I’d imagined it would. I’m very happy
with that, because I really tried to pay attention to reviews of book blogs,
Good reads, and Amazon. It was very important to me to
give my readers what they wanted. I feel like I was successful in that with Firefly.
Yoshi Luver: When writing about Ash, Did
you have a special someone you could relate too, or was it someone you thought about?
Belle: Like all
my characters, Ash presented himself to me fully-formed with his own identity
and history. I didn't pattern him
after anyone. He arrived on the scene as a complete, smoldering package
of hotness!
Yoshi Luver:When you saw how your cover
turned out, was it exactly how you wanted?
Belle: I think my cover designer, LB, would
attest to the fact that I’m quite fussy about my book covers and book trailers. She might even call me naggy and
demanding! LOL! To be honest, I had pictured something totally different.
But, when I saw that lovely cover, I knew it was the one! I knew that
piece of artwork was capable of
encompassing the feel of the story. Not only did it turn out the be
exactly what I wanted, but it turned out to be even better than I could have ever imagined. And the back is
glorious! Don’t you think?
Yoshi Luver: Which is one book, you wish you had written?
Belle: Harry
Potter
Yoshi Luver: This might be a tough question
to answer, but which team are you. Team Everett or Team Ash?
Belle: This is a very tough answer, because I know all the ins and
outs of why each of the characters do what they do, think what they think … and
most of all want what they want. I’m too torn between Everett and Ash to
choose, because I know their hearts. Which team are you?
Yoshi Luver: OMG!!!
After the ending of the 2nd book, I can’t wait for the third book to come!! Can
you give a little bit of a pre-view?
Belle: Brace yourself! Here’s the first ever release of
an excerpt from the third and final book in the Cicada trilogy!

But that didn't mean I’d get my happily ever after with my true love. I would go to Ash so that Everett could have a long happy life. And I had no idea whether or not the rest of my life would be long or happy. I would just make a stiff upper lip and do what must be done.
“What’s going on in that head of yours?” Everett asked as he stroked my forearm with his finger tips. I glanced at him and parted my lips to speak, but burst into flames instead. It had been the third time it had happened since we’d gotten to the house to find it had been broken into and razed.
Blue flames licked around my arms and shoulders, and I tossed my head back, my arms out, and felt my feet lift from the kitchen floor. Everything around me was cast in a blue haze, and I turned to glimpse myself in the dining room mirror.
My hair stretched out in tendrils, as if it had a life of its own, curling, twisting, and reaching among the brilliant blue flames that leapt from my skin and into the air around me.
Immortality, it seemed, replaced mortality in stages. I hoped it would be the last stage of spontaneous combustion. Because each time it happened, my clothing ignited and
left me suspended in flames, mid-air, naked.
