How many lives do you need to live Before you
find someone worth dying for?
War has started to break out on the earth. And
Luce again must part from Daniel, even though it took them an eternity to
find each other. Daniel has to push Luce away, as he goes
hunting for the Outcast (immortals that want to kill Luce). Luce is now headed
to California, to her new school in shoreline, filled with gifted nephilim.
There she discovers different secrets about her and Daniel. The shadows
that once have been haunting her are now in her control, and she can use
them as windows to open up her previous lives. But some secrets Luce
discovered, Daniel seems to be hiding from her.
I am still Team Daniel all the way.
But this book Luce kind of annoyed me a
bit. She kept doing the exact opposite Daniel and Cam warned her. I
definitively do not like Miles what so ever, I mean he is sweet and all but he
needs to understand that Luce is taken and that is final! I hated that she
would go out of her way to do something she was not supposed to do. Like I
understand that she is tired of being trapped and all but it is for her
protection. And there was one scene in the book where (This part will contain spoilers)
Miles come to her balcony and he then
admits he likes her and then kisses her. Like NOOO. Then my heart broke when
Daniel was watching and he just couldn't bear it. Luce why would you even let
him.
I would rate this book a 4/5. -Yoshi Lover
