Virtuosity by Jessica Martinez

Drugs, Win, Violin
it the only thing on Carmen minds.

Carmen is the number one violinist in the USA and is on her way to the Guarneri Competition. Everyone is expecting her to win because uh, she won the Grammys made it on Time Magazine and much, much more. But the thing is she worried about Jeremy King, her competitor.  He is one of the best and she afraid of losing it all to him. The stress level has gone up a notch and now takes a drug to try to keep her mind calm. Soon she starts to love the feeling of being at peace and now is addicted to her drugs. She just can’t stop taking them.  And to top it all off she falls in love with Jeremy.  Will she be able to control her feelings toward winning and the boy, or will she let it take her over and consume her?

This book is so inspiring. It taught me that listen to people advice but be who you feel is you. If you live this type of life, I now feel you. Carmen is super busy and makes me feel that time is valuable. I am also very surprised she got a Grammy at such a young age. This book is amazing and you just got to read it! It one of those books you don’t want to miss out! Rate this book 5/5 and was recommended by a friend. I would recommend it to you to0!
